Rebecca's family is the fifth generation to farm Akitio Station at the bottom of the Akitio River. She has more than 15 years of experience marketing internationally and has an honours degree in Chemical and Process Engineering from the University of Canterbury.

She is responsible for growth at a native forest carbon climate-tech startup, CarbonCrop. She’s passionate about the importance of a successful primary sector for New Zealand, in particular sheep and beef farming and forestry. She wants to leave the world in a better place for her three daughters by rolling up her sleeves and getting stuck in.
